Senior SAP Enterprise Architect
Job Description
About the Company
Fixtra is a consulting and delivery company specialized in enterprise technology and SAP ecosystems. We empower banks and insurers to move faster, think bigger, and innovate smarter. With SAP BTP, cloud-native solutions, and cutting-edge AI, we help financial institutions break free from legacy constraints and lead in a world that never stops changing. We bring together bold ideas, deep SAP expertise, and a startup energy that never settles. Whether it's automating core banking, migrating complex systems to the cloud, or building intelligent, customer-first applications—we're already doing it, across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Fixtra is growing fast—and so are our ambitions. We're not just building technology. We're building the future of financial services—secure, scalable, intelligent. Fixtra. Designed for bold thinkers. Built for fearless finance.
About the Role
Are you driven to design SAP landscapes that are as robust and inspiring as the gothic cathedrals—and just as intimidating to legacy constraints? As a Senior SAP Enterprise Architect at Fixtra, you’ll navigate the architectural labyrinths of leading banks and insurers, weaving together S/4HANA and ABAP mastery to shape enterprise platforms that stand the test of time. This role calls for a rare breed of architecture visionary—someone who understands not only modern SAP ecosystems but also the foundations and history of architectures, digital and beyond. If you’re ready to strike down outdated silos and build the frameworks of tomorrow, we want to talk to you. Beware: this is not a role for the faint of heart.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect enterprise-scale SAP S/4HANA solutions for leading financial institutions in the EMEA region
• Design high-availability, secure SAP landscapes that combine modern platform capabilities with lessons from historic architectural rigor
• Lead end-to-end roadmap development—from greenfield core system builds to complex cloud migrations and SAP modernization projects
• Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery teams, business stakeholders, and client executives to ensure architectural alignment
• Integrate ABAP-based custom development in accordance with best practices, compliance, and future-proofing requirements
• Continuously assess and address potential technical and structural risks throughout the SAP ecosystem
• Champion the use of architectural patterns—both digital and historically inspired—to ensure resilience and performance
• Mentor teams on best practices in technical and enterprise architecture within SAP environments
• Establish and enforce standards for documentation, governance, and solution scalability
• Evaluate new SAP technologies (BTP, AI/ML, integration frameworks) to enhance platform capabilities
• Participate in enterprise-wide architecture reviews and strategy sessions to anticipate emerging threats and opportunities
• Uphold a relentless commitment to security, privacy, and regulatory compliance in all architectural designs
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience architecting SAP solutions, with deep expertise in S/4HANA and ABAP technology stack
• Proven senior leadership in SAP projects for complex global enterprises, ideally in finance and insurance sectors
• Extensive knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and the ability to bridge historic and modern design principles
• Expertise in end-to-end SAP platform integration, migration strategies, and greenfield/brownfield deployments
• Superior understanding of IT and security architectures, governance, and risk management in regulated industries
• Fluency in English; strong communication skills in complex, cross-functional environments
• Experience delivering in hybrid work models within multinational teams
• Track record of mentoring teams and influencing decision makers at C-level
• Demonstrated resilience with a passion for tackling large-scale technical challenges head-on
• Knowledge of enterprise CI/CD, DevOps practices, and emerging SAP technologies is a significant advantage
• Excellent documentation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A fascination with architecture—digital, medieval, and gothic—is a plus; only true structural masterminds need apply
