About the Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to lead the development of Fixtra’s next-generation Wizard platform. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of intuitive UX, robust back-end architecture, and advanced AI integrations. You’ll work in our Products department, collaborating closely with product owners, designers, and AI/ML specialists to bring powerful, AI-driven features to life for enterprise clients. Expect to work hands-on across the stack—from crafting seamless UIs in React to building and optimizing microservices and integrating leading-edge AI APIs. You’ll mentor peers, champion best practices, and play a critical part in shaping the core product. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship user-friendly, responsive front-end interfaces using TypeScript, React (with Next.js), and modern web standards.
• Build, document, and optimize robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express/NestJS) and/or Python (FastAPI/Django).
• Integrate advanced AI/ML features via APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI, etc.) and collaborate with AI engineers to deliver seamless, intelligent user experiences.
• Engineer scalable, secure, and multi-tenant SaaS solutions tailored to enterprise finance environments.
• Model and query relational (PostgreSQL) and vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, Weaviate) to support semantic search and Q&A.
• Implement authentication, RBAC, and API security best practices across services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes) for frictionless deploys and operational excellence.
• Automate end-to-end and integration tests leveraging Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Profile, debug, and optimize performance across both front-end (browser tools) and back-end services.
• Embrace an AI-augmented workflow—leveraging Copilot, Codeium, and other assistants for enhanced productivity and quality.
• Work in short, agile iterations—estimating, prioritizing, and delivering features with ownership from design to production.
• Drive technical innovation: Experiment, propose, and adopt new tools and patterns for faster, smarter delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of full-stack engineering experience, with at least 2 deploying production AI features.
• Expert proficiency with TypeScript, React (with SSR frameworks like Next.js), HTML5/CSS3, and component/state management libraries.
• Extensive experience designing and building REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices in Node.js (Express/NestJS) and/or Python (FastAPI/Django).
• Demonstrated ability to design schemas and write optimized queries in PostgreSQL; bonus if familiar with ORMs (Prisma, SQLAlchemy, etc.).
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI, or equivalent) in web applications.
• Familiarity with vector stores (Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, Weaviate) and enabling AI features like semantic search or retrieval-augmented Q&A.
• Comfort with automation, containerization, and DevOps: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git/GitHub).
• Solid background in automated testing (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright) and maintaining high code quality.
• Strong understanding of authentication, RBAC, API security, and performance optimization techniques.
• Adaptability across the stack, with a product-driven mindset and entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication in English—able to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.
• Track record of ownership, mentorship, and driving best practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.
