About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer – AI Operational Automation, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and automating the backbone of Fixtra’s AI-driven product ecosystem. Embedded in our Products team, your mission is to empower our engineers and data scientists to release, scale, and iterate faster than ever. You’ll own cloud infrastructure, deliver robust CI/CD pipelines, and orchestrate a seamless process from development to production in a multi-tenant, highly-automated SaaS environment. You’ll leverage best-in-class DevOps tooling, experiment with AIOps solutions, and collaborate with fellow hackers and explorers who are obsessed with automation, AI tooling, and enabling rapid prototyping. Every day, you’ll collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders, integrating technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, n8n, and state-of-the-art monitoring solutions to create a resilient, scalable, and secure operational platform. Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins to streamline deployments and improve development agility.
• Administer and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency; provision infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Containerize AI and microservice applications via Docker and manage orchestrated deployments using Kubernetes or alternative orchestration frameworks.
• Build and integrate workflow automations (with n8n, Zapier, or Airflow) to connect services, automate data pipelines, create alerting systems, and remove manual bottlenecks.
• Develop monitoring and incident response systems using cloud-native tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry) to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve incidents.
• Manage Linux-based servers, enforce cloud and network security (VPN, firewalls, IAM, Vault), and uphold best practices for robust, compliant infrastructure.
• Oversee the operation and tuning of databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, and Vector DBs like Pinecone/Qdrant), including backup, scaling, and health management.
• Collaborate with engineers to support fast prototyping and product launches, enabling rapid deployments while ensuring system stability and security.
• Continuously seek out opportunities to automate manual tasks, including scripting (Python, Bash, Node.js) and integrating AI-powered automation platforms (AIOps, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Document infrastructure, workflows, and technical runbooks to foster transparency and maintain operational excellence.
• Lead incident post-mortem and root-cause analysis to drive lasting improvements in product reliability and deployment velocity.
Requirements
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/Cloud/SRE experience in modern software environments, with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and cloud-native operations.
• Deep expertise with CI/CD pipeline design and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Expert-level knowledge of containerization (Docker), and production orchestration with Kubernetes or equivalent services (ECS, EKS, Docker Swarm).
• Strong command of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), including compute, serverless, networking, and database management.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) for repeatable, auditable infrastructure management.
• Advanced experience in building workflow automations using platforms like n8n, Zapier, or Apache Airflow.
• Robust Linux system administration, network configuration, and security best practices (VPNs, IAM, SSH, secrets management).
• Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Sentry) for distributed, AI-driven or microservice environments.
• Database administration skills (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), including at least one vector database (Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, Weaviate).
• Scripting mastery (Python, Bash, or Node.js) for both automation and tooling integration.
• Familiarity with AIOps, prompt engineering, or AI/ML toolchains a strong plus.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in English; able to document, present, and mentor effectively within a remote/hybrid international team.
